New Applicant

Contractors* applying for CRA Membership MUST PRINT APPLICATION and submit it along with the following to be eligible.  (Your application will automatically be denied if any of these items are not included/sent with application):

1. A current roofing Class D contractor license (or Class A, B or C, if applicable) AND one issued a minimum of two years ago, both in the applicant’s name, from a Colorado municipality or jurisdiction that requires a written test to qualify for the license or two roofing Class D contractor licenses from municipalities that do not require a written test. 
2. Documentation of current Colorado Worker's Compensation Coverage reflecting satisfactory payroll in roofing or sheet metal classifications (i.e. 5535, 5538, 5551,  etc.) to include certificate of insurance and endorsement/declaration page of your policy that shows this information and reflects a minimum of 1 person working at Colorado minimum wage for 1 year (2080 hours).  If you do not have Workers’ Comp. Insurance coverage, you will not qualify for membership in the CRA.  Exemption letters are not accepted.
3. A certificate of insurance showing current general liability protection of at least $500,000.00.
4. Evidence of passing a nationally recognized examination that meets current building code mandates and that addresses roofing work on residential and/or commercial property (National Building Contractor A, B, C & Standard Roofing from IBC or ICC accepted. Current code requirement is 2018 version or newer.).
5. Sign and abide by the CRA Code of Ethics.
6. Sign Continuing Involvement Units (CIUs) acknowledgement form that you have read and understand the CIU requirement.
7. You must have a fixed address with a physical location in Colorado.
8. Submit four (4) satisfactory business references in Colorado in letter form - one (1) from a customer, one (1) from a manufacturer, and two (2) others from a supplier/vendor.
9. Each applicant must be Sponsored by a current CRA Member(s).

Membership dues are $950.00 per calendar year. Your dues will be prorated at $79.17 per month for the remaining months of the year.

CRA Membership is based on the calendar year and membership renews each January.

There is no online application available for contractors.  Roofing Contractors who want to apply must print application and e-mail or mail to the CRA for review by membership committee.
